Hey, I'm a nurse in Canada and would love to move to Australia for nursing. I work with community health and would love to do the same there. Anyone know what my best options are? Also, whats the salary for a community health registered nurse in Australia?

I'm sure you could to a search for the average rates.
As to the process, here's the Australian Nursing Board website and their page on Internationally Qualified Nurses.
Good luck!

Hi Jennienurse, I am a U.S. community health nurse interested in doing similar work in Australia. Did you have any luck learning about opportunities? I'm still trying to figure out if the role of a community health nurse is similar in Australia. Any info you could pass on would be great.

Hi.
I have a question on the Australian Police Check. Its listed as a requirement for enrollment application at a school in Australia.
How long is the certification valid?
Which category purpose should be chosen if you are using the certification for nursing school?
I appreciate the help.

It depends on the state and the Uni. In NSW a national police check is valid for 3 years.
When I was a student at Charles Darwin Uni, regardless of that, they wanted a new one every year, but at Charles Sturt, it is valid for 3 years.
In terms of which one to get, if your in NSW, it's the $55 one.
