Hello,
I'm a dual citizen- USA/Australian! I grew up in Australia, where I completed one full year of nursing! I then transferred to United Stated where I completed one full year and a half. Due to some serious family circumstances, I had to return to Australia, where I will finish my degree in the next 2 years. My dream has always been to do nursing in the United States, so I am quite disappointed. I was wondering if after I graduate with my degree in Australia I can start working towards taking the NCLEX and moving back to the States straight away, or will I have to work in Australia for a time? Am I able to move back to the states and take the extra courses required without having work experience behind me!? I'm trying my hardest to come up with a plan!
Thanks, everyone in advance for your help!

Each state has its own Board of Nursing and requirements to practice. Once you have a state in mind, you may be able to find quite a bit of information on their website.

Until you apply to a state it is difficult to say what will happen. You can apply once you have graduated, you do not need to wait for experience
