@RN oz1 or to anyone
Excuse me for my ignorance, but if I am to apply for a position in Aged Care then I get lucky to be employed, will I also be able to have a 457 visa just like any other nursinng positions? If that is the case, can I proceed to the GNP knowing that I already have a temporary residence status?
Thank you so much!

I don't know much about visas etc, but shouldn't you be checking all this with immigration re work status etc? I am sure there is a website where you could gain this info. Just Google australian immigration and see what comes up. Also no-one will take you without 2-3+ years acute care experience behind you, just so you know.

Have you checked out the large thread on working in Australia, you still need to meet requirements for license and if no experience then you will have to do a course or bridge (this comes from reading others experiences)
