Austin Community College Fall 2011

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything else about more instructors being hired for Austin Community College. I applied for the fall 2011 semester and was under the impression that they were hiring more teachers. I know that some students have received acceptance letters after the fact. My friend in nursing skills was a mid 120 and she got her letter a few weeks ago. I can handle rejection...I can't handle the not knowing. So if anyone has some info or knows someone with a rank higher that the 120 that got it, I would like to know..I was in the 130's..thanks and Congrats to those who were accepted!!

I haven't heard anything about the hiring situation. The people whom I know who got accepted after the original 108, were ranked before 120. Last I heard they were on 123 from people who had declined or deferred though.

We had to do our background check by July 15 and our nursing packet with all our various paperwork is due by August 1st. I would think since those deadlines are approaching, that if you haven't gotten accepted yet, it might not happen. I would not completely give up hope though, because you never know. :)

I was in the Eastview nursing office the other day turning in paperwork and saw on the dry erase board on the wall that they had 30 students marked for each of the four locations, which I would assume means they are accepting only 120 students.

Thank you soo much for the update! She changed the update page, so I guess they aren't hiring any more teachers...oh well, there is always Spring!:uhoh3:
