Austin Community College ADN Fall 2020

Published

This is getting real and I'm eager for someone to be nervous with. I'm waiting for them to announce the Fall 2019 HESI, and am worried I'll drop the ball on something. Let's make a community here!

Y'all should coordinate and make your cohort facebook group now. Post the links here so people can find you.

Good idea!

Here we go!

Is a cohort specific to campus, or is it all of the Fall 2020 ADN folks?

Campus specific. Our curriculum is the same but schedule is different.

Good idea! Here is here is the one for Round Rock

So second round of acceptances were sent out yesterday right? If I didn’t get accepted will they tell me or? Because I didn’t receive an email

I heard from Cindy this morning via email. Yes second round emails were sent out yesterday. She said that if we don't hear anything from her within the next 2 weeks we will then receive an email detailing our specific rank/place. She said to go ahead and reapply and if we DO end up getting in for fall just email her and she will then remove us from the 2021 list.

She also said that there were 300+ applicants this time so it was really competitive. Figures! LOL

Okay so I should go ahead and start the reapplication process for Spring of 2021. What was your Rank if you don't mind me asking?

I was 36.57. I hadn't yet finished my ethics course prior to applying so my GPA was multiplied by 6 instead of 7...and I had one glaring C early on that stuck with me, lowering my GPA. If I'd just finished ethics I would've been 40. Oh well. Next time I suppose!!

Mine is like 35.5 I have all my classes done but I didn't get the best grades. I try really hard but end up getting B's and C's. ;(

I understand! I'm 47 and this was a huge disappointment but I'm a huge believer in "everything in it's time and God has a plan!" Don't give up!!

Specializes in NICU hopeful!.

I'm sorry some of ya'll didn't get in for the fall. In the meantime I'd suggest taking some pre-requisite classes for the RN-BSN program if you still have to get those done. You're still on track. Take heart and stay focused ??
