Austin Community College ADN Fall 2020

This is getting real and I'm eager for someone to be nervous with. I'm waiting for them to announce the Fall 2019 HESI, and am worried I'll drop the ball on something. Let's make a community here!

I know ? I wish we didn’t have to wait so long it’s going to be torture

To clarify: everyone who applies receives permission to take the nursing skill class?

That is correct. Regardless of your grades, test score etc. everybody gets the petition. If you don’t get accepted first round the skills class is an extra point added to your rank. If you get in the first time, it doesn’t get added since your rank is already high enough. Does that make sense?

It does, thanks!

you are welcome!! It’s our last pre req... about time!

I thought that there’s a little number of seats for the class so the earlier you apply the better your chances of getting a petition are? That’s what Cindy told us when we took the HESI

No. Everybody gets one, but there are limited seats. So if you sign up and get a seat great! If you don’t get a seat you have to wait til there is an opening or new skill classes to be posted. Either way it’s the last pre req and you need it to get in.

Hey guys, I was just accepted for the spring cohort about to start. If anyone is still active on this thread, can you tell me if you still like your campus choices as far as RRC and EVC? When I applied, I asked which campus had the least fail rate or hardship transfers, but they said they were all the same..but I’ve heard other wise. Just trying to not second guess my choice.
