Austin Community College (ACC) Admissions Fall 2014

Here we go, new thread for the people who weren't able to get in the Spring 2014.

Seems like every semester the number of people admitted to the course is dropping.

2013 Spring - Admitted 127

2013 Fall - Admitted 117

2014 Spring - Admitted 111

Couple of years ago they were admitting 160 students a semester, so this is a disturbing trend for us who are waiting to get in to the course.

For anyone looking into buying Danskos, just a little information...Danskos brand clogs used to be made by a company called sanitas..but a couple years ago Dansko moved their production elsewhere and the quality of the clogs has gone WAY down...I've had more than one nurse where I work complain about them and how low quality they are now....LUCKILY...sanita still sells their clogs and you can just google sanitas to find their website..amazon also sells them, and bonus, they are cheaper than the danskos.

I tried a pair of both on when I was in Houston a couple weeks ago and the sanitas def. seemed like they had more support and were built to last.

Anyone know if we are allowed to wear jackets on top of our scrubs if we get cold? If so, what are the regulations?

I can't find the group on fb. The only one showing up is for fall 2013.

I started a Facebook page for LEVEL 1 CEC. Just search ACC-CEC Fall 2014 and request to be added.

I can't find the fb page, only the one for fall 2013. Thank you for starting one! I searched what you said but it's not showing up for some reason.

Yes, I did register right after I receive my clearance letter for Fall registration on July the 3rd. I'm just waiting to start class now in August, lol. Good luck to all of us.

I haven't received my blue clearance card from the BON yet. I did my fingerprints over a month ago and have heard nothing. My ACC background check was completed within a couple days after I did it and I have already registered, but now I'm worried that I won't get my card in time for August 1st. I emailed Tammy today to see if she had any input. Is anyone else in this position?

I got my blue card from the BON today, didn't think I would have one send as I didn't submit prints. Cool.
