Aussie Corrections Nurse Coming to NY

Hi all,

Just after some advice.

 

I am a BSN RN in Australia and have started the process to get a nursing licence from NY BON.

My background is corrections/primary health and psychiatric nursing background.

I would like to work in corrections but does NY sponsor international RNs to work in prisons there?

My experience is just over 2 years as an RN and previously 8 years as an EN (LPN/LVN equivalent) in the same clinical areas.
