Augusta University / GRU / MCG CRNA 2018 applicants

Published

Is anyone applying to Augusta University's CRNA doctorate program? I'm interested to keep up with timelines since we wouldn't start for over another year.

Did they explain how the alternate list works?

They said that the alternate list is not ranked. That when someone declines an acceptance, they pull three alternates from the list and pick one of those.

No. They didn't explain how it works. I asked if I could know what number I was on the list and Melvenia hasn't responded. The email did say how many were on the alternate list either. Pretty disappointed.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't get that piece of information. That's an interesting way of picking an individual. I guess we will see. I mean, did anyone get the feeling that some individuals weren't interested in the program or knew others applying elsewhere? Just curious

Just to get an idea of their candidate pool, what were the GPA's and GRE scores of those who did not get in and for those that did, how much ICU experience did you have? I am wondering how strong the interview ways in on the acceptance process. Any feedback would be great, thank you.

I have a 3.35 GPA/ GRE 298/ 5 years of CVICU experience/ CCRN, CSC

Didn't think I did terrible at the interview. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect.

I'm an alternate, too!

I got in! My BSN gpa was 3.8, science gpa 3.65, gre 300, ccrn, 2.5 years of ICU experience.

Did you have to email to see if you were an alternate? No notification for me. GPA 3.9/GRE310/1yr

No they haven't emailed alternates if you have reached out to them they tell you.

I just called and they told me. Congrats to all those who have been accepted!

To the other alternates out there...did they give you a number on how many people they assigned to the alternates list?
