Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello Everyone! Is anyone here planning to apply to AU MSN/CNL program for Fall 2019? Also, is anyone here who is currently in the program? Too bad the forum doesnt let me PM yet to users. [h=1][/h]

Does anyone know when the program starts?

I guess yes, there are still opportunities for waitlisters. Those already accepted still have drug tests, prerequisites, and background examination to validate b4 unconditional admission is reached.

Hi everyone, I'm getting more excited as the days get closer to starting this program. I do have one lingering question though, I know that working and doing this program is really not the best scenario but are there ways to balance this? Or are there certain jobs that would be better while in this program? It's kind of nerve racking to go so long without a job.

Thanks

Hi everyone, I applied in November, but due to still being in undergrad (as well as unknowingly having a reference mistakenly not upload their letter) and needing to send a proof of degree, my application was only just reviewed. My status online hasn't changed from ready to review but when I called I was told that I had received an acceptance offer for the Fall in Athens. Definitely excited! Is anyone else not finished with the Fafsa yet?

I was confronted with that same delimma. I took time to contact some formal CNL graduates, they were blunt on the subject matter. CNL + Work @ ur own peril, better go 4 extra loan and pass ur courses. They said the few that worked were in active military service.

Okay thanks for the help everyone.

I'm in the 2019 cohort and there are some of us who work and/or have kids (kids are a full time job sometimes). My advice is that if you do work, it needs to be something really flexible (and if it's kids, you need babysitters who are flexible and reliable). This semester has been particularly bad with last-minute schedule changes (community health in particular). If you manage your time well it is possible to work part time in the program.

Hello there. If it is a PRN position, 4 days a month, then it is doable for the first semester. However, I would be cautious about it. The first semester is your 4.0 semester. Then, mental health or med-surg (2nd semester) might bring the GPA down. Also, there are so many things that are going on with this program. The last thing you want is to deal with work and school at the same time. As Moscrows stated, last minute schedule changes do occur. The F- word (flexible) is your friend. However, everyone has a different situation. And I can't speak for everyone.
