Augusta U- MSN/CNL- Fall 2018 Entry

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I don't see a group yet started for admission to the Fall 2018's Augusta U MSN/CNL program. I have read through the forum of the Fall 2017 group and it seems to have been very informative!

I am excited once this group starts getting some members, so we can discuss the process (and adventure?!) of applying and finishing pre-reqs!

I am a second career applicant who works full time as an office assistant to two MDs and 1 BSN now. I have previously been a CNA and worked as a PCT in a small rural hospital on the med/surg floor, but then went on to get a BA in English from UGA. After having been an assistant for 4 years and out of school for quite a few more, I am excited about starting this RN program and still question why I didn't do this from the beginning :-) Oh well, I feel I have a lot of real world experience now and I am a much better learner then before! I have four pre-reqs left. A&P 1 and 2, Microbiology, and Human Development. I am planning on trying to CLEP the Human Development course this fall. Currently in the waiting process for acceptance into the Perimeter Campus of Georgia State University to start the other courses.

Looking forward to talking with all of you!

Hi EKBLead,

Mine said the same thing, and I received an acceptance letter. The email address wouldn't be assigned unless you claimed your spot (after receiving the letter). Hope this helps!

Heather94,

CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you for your reply. I hope I am saying the same thing soon. Fingers and Toes still crossed.

Hi Nursetobe,

Where did you find it? I am still running into the locked one.

Hey Everyone! I too am a late applicant. I completed my NursingCAS app 2/5 and just took the MAT yesterday scoring a preliminary 423. Hoping to hear back soon about an interview or something.

For those attending the Athens campus, anyone commuting from the Atlanta area? Trying to see if I can carpool w/ppl or if I need to relocate to further north to lessen my commute.

I was asking about the calendar because I wanted to confirm that the program starts in the fall--was going to ask the date and whether there are any orientation events in the summer. I thought I remembered the program requiring a summer course.

I received my acceptance letter. Whew!!

Hi everyone my status changed from ready to review to decision made, in mail. I also see a section that saya background consent form. Is this a good sign? I am trying not to get my hopes up but I'm hoping its a good thing! Any input?

Hi futureRN94,

Everyone I talked to says that it's a good sign to see that, since they wouldn't need a background check filled out on you unless you were to enroll in the program. Hope this helps!

Has anyone that applied in January heard anything?

I also applied late. Maybe interview invitations will occur this week or by the middle of next week. The calendar says the interviews will be the 8th/9th of March and then again two weeks after that. Please let me know if anyone else hears about interviews! Good luck!
