I guess I just don't understand how they were able to extend invitations and do interviews in March when the deadline was just 3/1. Seems like a lot of people weren't even considered who didn't apply much earlier given the chatter on here and that is disheartening.

Yeah, that's fair. Unfortunately, I think they really mean "early submission of application materials is strongly advised". It seems to be the case in a lot of apps with rolling interviews. I mean, I can see the argument both ways. I'm guessing they took less from the last interview round than the previous two, since "For the last 10 spots, everyone who had interviewed from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd group would be considered."

Have not received an acceptance or rejection letter. Not exactly sure if this program sends out rejection letters (most programs usually do). Has anyone called Augusta this week?
