I have an iPhone app called Medical Drug Pronunciations that works pretty well, for the drugs it has anyway.

And also, I have Tabor's Medical Dictionary (comes with Nursing Central from Unbound Medicine) which also has audio pronunciations for some drugs.

I've got Davis Drug Guide on my iTouch and it has an audio pronunciation for each reference.

I find this hard. I have had so many professors teaching me and I swear everyone of them pronounced the same word differently. I am confused, and I do not know what is the right way to say it. I pronounce meds and other words the way I was tought the first time. I don't think it matters if you pronounce it wrong, I can only see at as a problem with med words that look similar ( one or 2 letters change).

Great idea...I hate it when I am talking about a medication and someone gets upset or confused because they pronounce it another way. I went to the eye doctor last week and got CORRECTED on how to pronounce Metoprolol! LOL...the same paraoptometric informed me I need to increase my dose...and take an extra one that day. LOL...the actual optometrist got an earful from me. :-)

Ha. My Davis Drug Guide pronounces it:

me-TOE-proe-lole

Just found this website for drug pronunciations and it's awesome!! Just click on the drug and it says it for you.
