today my school gave our senior class the ati predictor to tell how well we will do on the first attempt of taking the nclex. then in march we have to take the ati exit exam. do you think the predictor is reliable as far as guiding your studying? also should i be planning on taking kaplan over the winter break to do well on the ati exit exam? (scored 88% chance of passing nclex 1st time)

I guess everyone has a point of view re: the ATI predictor test. My girlfriend graduated from my program in the class of 07 and majority of her class including her did not pass the predictor test, however out of 33 students 30 passed the boards on the 1st try. As for taking Kaplan to prepare for ATI no, just do the ATI non proctored test quesitons and do nclex questions. I would use Kaplan to prepare for the boards. Good luck on the test.

Re:ATI prdictor test.

Did you think the online assessment really help toward the test? so much afraid of what the test is going to look like. Do you have any suggestion what might help?

The ATI predictor is pretty good at determining who will do well on NCLEX. Since you scored 88% chance of passing I don't think you should have anything to worry about. If you noticed the ATI have Levels 1, 2, and 3. Those that get level 2 and 3 should pass the NCLEX without much trouble. Those that got level 1's at least from my graduating group were the ones that didn't pass on the first try. Some of the level 1's passed some didn't. I got a 99% chance of passing and I only had to do the minimum number of questions before the NCLEX shut off. I pretty much knew I passed at that point.
