Have you taken the proctored test? If so, how was it? We did Fundamentals last quarter and I made Level 3, and we have Mental Health & Med Surg this quarter and I plan to study the same way I did for Fundamentals......Any advice? BTW to study for Fundamentals I took the practice and final tests multiple times until I felt like I knew it...and although it wasn't the same questions for the proctored test, it was pretty much the same material..

Hi, Mental Health ATI for me was a breeze, but Medsurge was more difficult and required much much studying and practice. But if you keep doing practice questions and most importantly read and understand the rationales you will be fine. In my group, Medsurge is usually what brought a lot of ppl's grades down.
Thanks! Is Mental Health a lot of pharmacology/side effects? OR therapeutic communication, knowledge?

Last semester I took Med-Surg, Mental Health, and OB ATI. I passed them all and I didnt study much for OB or Mental Health. Med-Surg I did the focused practice tests and to me those were the most similar to the exam.
Oh and no I had barely any pharm just a couple questions mostly therapeutic communicationa dn common sense. To me that was the easiest one. Med-Surg wasn't bad either (I got the highest on that one) OB was really strange questions though, off the wall.
I would recommend doing the ATI Fundamentals Practice exams over and over until you understand them back and forth. Understand the principles of safely moving the client as well as principles of crutches, ergonomics..I think it was mostly about safety.

Thanks patho! I have the Mental Health one Tuesday and hoping for another level 3. They are I think 5% of our grade each, so that's 10% for the 2 ATI test this quarter, and if you get level 3, that's 100% so can help boost your grade up if needed :)
