Athens Tech Nursing 2014

Has anyone applied for Athens Tech Nursing School for 2014???! This waiting game is stressful!

Does anyone know the average gpa and nln scores for the students that got in last year? I'm already losing sleep over this. I can't wait to find out!

Well I dont really know the gpa averages but I work with a guy who said the avg nln score was like a 94% and im not auite sure about gpas! He got in with a 3.4 gpa and a 94% on the nln! Im so anxious and stressed right now and the wait makes it worse!

I want to make sure I'm calculating my gpa correctly. They are only using your grades from the 9 preq's? That's including the 3 labs. I have all A's and 1 B in A&P II lecture.

its 5 classes, math, english, anatomy 1, anatomy 2, and micro. At GRU our lab grades are calculated into the lecture grades. They only care about those grades and the nln is what Mrs. R told me. If you dont have all the 5 classes mentioned above and the nln, you're crossed off the list.

It makes me feel so much better that someone got in with a 3.4! I have a 3.6 and a 98% on the nln. I was worried that my 3.6 wasn't good enough. And that's crazy that there's only 150 people this time. Hasn't it been 400-500 in the past?

I'm still sort of confused about how they calculate GPA with the science classes. My lab and lectures are two separate grades. But I guess when it comes to quality points it's all the same? Haha I guess we will see!

I have no clue how they calculate the gpa I just take my final grades on my transcript and type in the quality points into the college of charleston gpa calculator to figure mine out for specifically those 5 classes. I do not have two separate grades for the science classes. My university just puts the lab grades in together but it evens out to be the same i reckon! I was specifically told several times that it was less than 150 applicants and I called numerous times just in case. Last year I believe there were about 230 and then in the past there were 400 and 500 applicants. I am really hoping that possibly there would be a few who did not have all the classes so that there would be an even better chance! I need to get in this year!

And is that 3.6 the GPA of your 5 classes?

Yep! If it was my total gpa it would be higher. I've made A's in everything except Micro which has killed my gpa. But hopefully it will be good enough to get in! I really really don't want to have to take Micro again!

Well thats good that your A's and B's will make up for your Micro grade! Let's hope for the best!

And i just want to let you know that Athens Tech does not participate in the Federal Loan program! Thats what the guy I work with said! They'll take Pell Grant but not the loans!

No, I did not make it into gtc. My Kaplan score was not good enough.
