  1. Congrats on getting accepted! And this is just awesome news about not having summer classes! I feel like I just got an early Christmas present. Haha!
  2. Oh wow. So like Summer 2015 then? Just trying to make sure that I'm on the same page :). I understood it that we would have class during fall 2014, spring 2015, summer 2015, fall 2015 and spring 2016. They're doing nursing classes this summer and I just assumed those classes were for the folks that got in last fall. So will we only have 4 semesters of class instead of 5? I wouldn't complain about that!!! Peachyy, I haven't heard about average gpa and nln scores. If I find out I will let you know! Did you find out where you are on the list? I'm sooooo hoping that you get a spot!!!
  3. Are you talking about this summer or the summer between years one and two?
  4. I don't think that we get the summer off. I believe that it's 5 consecutive semesters which would include next summer. Maybe you could take sociology online? I'm taking 2 online classes at Athens Tech this semester and they're wonderful!
  5. Peachyy, I bet that a spot will open up for you! Let us know when you know! Mischale, Congrats! I might be jumping ahead of myself a little here, but does anyone know what our schedule will look like this fall? It looks like last year it was Monday-Friday 8:30-11:30. But that probably doesn't include clinicals right? Do we even have clinicals the first semester? I'm sure that all of this will be covered at the info meeting. But I wanted to ask just in case someone else knew already!
  6. Congrats Diaz2016! I'm happy that your mail came! lmnop123, my family has vacationed at Emerald Isle for years! I love the area! Never been to Topsail though. I'll have to check that out. We went shark fishing one year which was really cool. And we LOVE eating at The Sanitary in Beaufort! I hope that the 6 months go by quickly for you! My brother isn't technically at Geiger but it's basically Geiger. He was with the air wing at Cherry Point but got moved.
  7. My brother is at a smaller base near Lejuene. I'm jealous of how close he is to the beach! It's so pretty! Good luck with your boyfriend's deployment! How long will he be over there?
  8. I got in too!!! YAY!
  9. That's neat about your boyfriend! What branch is he in? My brother is in the Marines but he is still here in the States. Hopefully you will have good news to tell your boyfriend today! I'm glad that you called the post office! My nephew's birthday party is right at the time the mail is supposed to get here. It's torture!
  10. That is awesome. I'm glad that they're finally on their way. I hope that we all get in!
  11. YAY!!!!! Thank you for calling, lmnop123!
  12. I think that it's only snail mail but I've been checking my email just in case they do both. I called admissions today after my mailman didn't have anything for me. I asked if the letters had gone out yet and she said "No. They'll be out by the end of the month." I said "I heard from the Dean that they would go out this week." And she said "They may go out this week but they haven't gone out yet." She was really nice about it. But that puts the best case scenario at early next week. Maybe Saturday if they go out tomorrow morning? I want to take some stamps to admissions and offer to help get those letters out ASAP!
  13. I'm in Georgia. The tests have different questions but I remember Boyle's law, waves (wavelength/crest/trough/etc), Coulomb's law, pH scales were on my exam.
  14. Get the study guide and study study study! I took the NLN twice. First time I scored in the 95th percentile and second time in the 98th. I felt like the questions were very similar to the study guide and that I would not have done as well without it. The math portion was the hardest for me. Not being able to use a calculator was difficult. The math section was the only one where I ran out of time. For me the science portion was where I was the strongest. I was finished with A&P 1 & 2 when I took it the second time and that helped. I haven't taken physics since high school (10ish years ago) but everything I needed to know was covered in the study guide. Stay calm, get plenty of sleep the night before the exam. And get the study guide. Did I mention that? Haha. Good luck! You will do fine!
  15. My mailman comes at 3 too! My kids are on spring break this week and I have trained them to listen out for the mail truck. Haha. I emailed the Dean on Monday and he said "It's my understanding that letters will go out this week." But he said that admissions sends out the letters so to contact them with any questions.
