Athabasca Post LPN to RN - How long did it take you?

Updated:   Published

Hello, I have just enrolled in the Post LPN to RN degree at AU. I am in the process of having my prior post-secondary credits transferred. Yay!

This goes out to anyone who has taken the program, known someone who has taken the program or currently enrolled:

How long from start of Cluster A to graduation did it take to complete?

thanks!

Hi, I am from Ontario too and I just graduated with my RPN diploma, I am currently thinking about the bridging program at AU how is the program? Is it hard? Were any of you able to get high marks because I just realized they changed the GPA average to get into the Cluster B courses.

Athabasca requires Post LPN-Bachelor of Nursing applicants have 1 year (1,700hrs) of full time work experience as a PN.

Yea I'm aware of that - have you take the program before?

hello I am still very confused about the clinical parts. Anyone can share their experience?

Hi guys!

I reside in Ontario and I just obtained my RPN license. I’m considering AU as an option for bridging to RN once I get a job and obtain the minimum of hours (1,700). Can anyone tell me what the tuition costs are for those who live outside of Alberta? Thank you.

oh I forgot to mention I am in ontario and still waiting for lpn license for alberta... (employers seem to be taking their sweet time for verification)

How was your experience with Athabasca ? I wonder if you were in Ontario then why you did not choose Nipissing Uni? Please reply asIi am also thinking to go  for RPN to BSN but not sure whether to choose Nipissing or Athabasca.

Hello,

Has anyone here already finished the bridge program through AU? How many courses did you take all at once and how long did it take? I know it differs for everyone but I just wan't to hear from others experiences.
