I am so depressed because a stupid situation that my community college didn't inform me too. Basically what happen was that I wanted to apply for my associates of science then transfer to a university to get my bachelors but I found out today that I actually am registered for a associates for applied science. I don't like this type degree because you can transfer but most of my credit wont apply to the uni that I am going too. this is my second year of college, I have this feeling my counselor is going to tell me to take summer classes but to be honest I am so drained and tired from this semester. my brain is fried and I know I will fail if I go to summer classes. I need to take a break to recharge my brain so I could take 4 classes in the fall. I already finished my general requirements (like math, English , history etc.) except for science. what should I do , I feel so lost :(

It didn't cause me or my husband any problems. The only issue it created was that when I completed my RN-BSN, I think I had two extra classes to take. No biggie.

This is not as big a deal as you are making it out to be. You honestly don't actually need a degree to transfer to a uni. Just take the required pre Reqs and any co Reqs that your CC offers and then apply for your uni nursing program. If you really want an associate degree before transfer, there should be a state general education degree that will meet the public unis awareness requirements for your BSN.

The university major will look for individual prerequisite courses, not the "type" of degree. Don't sweat this. At most you will take a course or two. Now or later, no big deal.
