associate degree from America to canada

Published

Hi all, I am in a bit of a situation. I am currently a Canadian international student who's attending college at college of southern Nevada. I need to complete my bachelors program in order to work in Canada as an RN. I just found out yesterday that I can't go to the school that has a bridge program with CSN because it's all online and and as an international student I'm not allowed to complete an online program. does anyone know if I'm able to complete my associates degree here in the states and upgrade back in cananda for my bachelors ? Or will I have to go through another 4 years of school? Switching states is not an option for me :( anything helps .. Thank you

Yes which is why I'm trying to gain information on which schools are best I can do my upgrading in Canada when I finish my associates degree here in the states.

If you are planning to return to Ontario after you complete the ADN, you will need to have your education assessed by NNAS, after which you may need to complete a competency assessment supplement and/or undergo OSCE. It can take three years for an internationally educated nurse to obtain their initial registration (RN or RPN) with CNO. You will not qualify for admission into a PN to BScN program until after you are licensed as a PN.
