If this is the same ASSET as I had to take for my college then yes! It is a placement test for your classes. Basically it asses if you have the "basic" college level math and reading comprehension test scores so that you will be able to do well in your classes. If your scores aren't high enough, sometimes they recomend extra tutoring or what not. At least that's how it is here.
Hopefully that helps!
Your advice helped alot, THANKS!!!!! Im taking the ASSET test either Tuesday or the 1st Tuesday in May. The LPN program that im applying to uses both the NET and ASSET scores in determining who gets in the program. I just took my NET test yesterday and i made a 76 cumulative score im kinda bummed about that) but the program that im applying to requires that u make at least a 60 cumulative score. The lady administering the test said that i did well and the paper with my results on it said i did 'superior' i guess i was just expecting more out of myself. With that said do u think i should go ahead and take the Asset test this coming Tuesday while the stuff from the NET test is still fresh in my mind or do u think i should take a break from it all and wait until May? Are the questions on the ASSET similar to the questions on the NET?
There are 2 versions one is short and tests overall ability in math, geometry, english, grammar, history, even geography. It is scored overall so basically skip and go on to the next if you don't know the answer. The more you answer right, the better. So the score is not broken down into subjects. Then there is the one categorized and on that one you do need to score a passing grade on each subject. Good Luck.
