Hi, I'm a Filipino licensed nurse. I am not sure if this is a valid question or not but I feel that I'm stuck in my present career and I really need some advice. I am currently employed as a caregiver in Saudi for a family from 2013 to 2017. Basically I am not employed by a company, so I don't have any registration to the Saudi Council for nurses, I dont have a license here since I am working not as a nurse, but as a carer for an old man, like a household worker. Even if I wanted to apply for one, the Saudi council would not allow me.

I had hospital work experience as a staff nurse back in the Philippines before i came here from 2010-2013.

So my question is should I continue with my dream to work in UK? Or should I just look for other places.

If i can still continue with this dream, my questions are:

1. Can I declare my current work experience when I will start my application process to be UK RN? Would my 1st work experience in the Philippines be enough?

2. I understand that the application process will ask for papers like licenses or nursing registration from every country you did you practice. In my situation I dont have any of that. I can ask for COE from my employer but that's about it.

If ever there is anyone who can give some advice, I would really appreciate it.

If you are not employed as a nurse in your current job I don't think you should declare it until you fully indicate you are a carer not nurse. If you was a nurse in your previous job then you should be ok
