aspire to become a CRNA...any advice

Published

I will start my first semester in an accelerated nursing program on the 22nd. I cant ell you how excited I am to know that I am finally going to be that much closer to my goal of becoming a CRNA. I have researched a little on what it takes such as a BSN and critical care experience. I am sure that there are steps that I am not aware of and I am hoping for a little advice. What does it take? Is there a high demand? What are the pros and cons? What schools have the program? Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer up some ideas. :nurse:

My best advice 4.0 GPA

My best advice 4.0 GPA

Absolutely unnecessary, and such advice can be pretty demoralizing. Most programs require a 3.0 GPA to apply. After that, each school will have their own criteria. Certainly, you want to do as well as you possibly can in nursing school, but I do know some admissions committees tend to be as wary of a student with a 4.0 as they are of a student with a 3.0.

My advice is to start with the CRNA FAQ at the top of the list.
