Aspen RN to BSN online program, then masters?

Nurses General Nursing

Hello,

Has anyone who received a BSN at Aspen University gone on to pursue their masters? If yes to what school and did you have any issues transferring over your credits?

I was told by another university (that wants me to go there instead) the following about Aspen:

"The school is not Regionally accredited. Though they are approved by the CCNE, the school is showing a National Accredited with the (DEAC). Although Nationally Accredited schools are good, you should be very careful when earning your degree's with them when it comes down to the transferability of credits. Also their nursing program is not Title IV Funded and approved by the Department of Education for Financial Aid. I see why their tuition is much more affordable than our competition"

Thoughts anyone? I hear good things about Aspen but was not sure how serious to take these comments.

Thanks,

Aspen, as the comment says, is not regionally accredited. I would not recommend any school that does not have RA unless you plan on transferring directly into another school without RA that may take it. There are schools that are just as affordable as aspen that DO have regional accreditation! :)

Thank you, featherzRN for your recommendation. I will for sure going to look up some other universities. Have a great day!
