ASN-MSN questions

Published

I already have a BS in biology, and a BA in chemistry. I am about to finish my ASN and will become a RN in the next few months. Im curious to know if i am able to use my Degrees in place of the BSN and progress toward an MSN. Is this something that is done only at particular colleges, and only for particular specialties? Do these programs require any clinical exp. say 2 years in a hospital? Thanks to all those who have any advice......I hope i get responses :)

There are ASN to MSN programs where a BSN is NOT required. You might want to query the individual schools you are interested in. Good luck.

You would be a perfect candidate for WGU's RN-to-MSN program (you collect a BSN along the way) as you likely have ZERO geneds to complete. They are non-clinical (education and leadership tracks) BUT you could get done in three or four terms at a very low cost. Fully accredited.

If you're wanting an NP, there are LEGIONS of post-master's clinical programs out there you could transition into.
