I have been at my current job for only 7 months. Last night I received a phone call from one of the nurses who was on the committe last year, asking me to be on the committee this year. I'm not sure if I should be honored or insulted that my I have been selected. Am I *that* opininated at work?
Anyway, what should I exepect when it comes to the bargaining table, other than intimidation on the hospital's part, I'm assuming? How much time on the average will I have to put in, if everything goes smoothly?
How does administration look upon you, if you sit on the committee? Potential trouble maker?
Any advice?

as for bargaining, watch the movie, "a beautiful mind". learn the biz/negotiation lesson from the movie.
if you're in a union friendly state, you've got no probs.
So not a movie watcher. I saw that movie years ago, and I'm trying to remember how it'll help, other then the obvious plot of the movie.
Hmm, union friendly state? Is there such a thing?
