Ashland University ABSN spring 2020

Published

Hi everyone,

I was currently admitted to AU ABSN program for spring 2020 and I was wondering if anyone has attended the program or if anyone was admitted for spring 2020 we can start this journey together and keep each other in touch.

Congratulations, you definitely made it amidst all the challenges. I'm super proud of you. I've seen a lot of negative comments from others and its making me super scared. Which school did you finally graduate from?

I graduated from UNC in North Carolina states. I applied to a few school and this time around I was checking to see how many students graduating and if school has diversity in their students. Some times it is not enough to ace your exams and to be smart.

I'll check them out then. Thank you for your response.

Hi Yen Ami, I just applied last week and waiting for a response. Hope we get in. The tuition is quite cheap

Hi Okyemanba,

I'm yet to apply but wanted but I'm a bit scared.

Hi Okyemanba,

Let's connect, which of the social media platforms are you on?

Yes I know, but I'm hoping things may have changed after blenderbottle's experience. I'm on fb and instagram. Joined their fb ABSN group

You remind me myself when I was trying to decide what school to attend, so I will share some questions, which you can research and make a decision.

1) Check out school student's diversity
2) Check out teachers/professors diversity
3) Check out the professor's educational background. Did they attend state schools or for-profit schools?
4) What is NCLEX passing score? The goal is 100% for 3 years or 95 % for 5 years.
5) Does the school require to pass ATI predictability exam in order to pass the class? (Only best school do NOT require their student to pass ATI predictability exam in order to pass the class, because they provided good quality education ).
6) How many people begin and complete the program?
7) Do they have any problems finding clinical instructors? do they offer diversity in clinical settings? Would you have to complete hours in a nursing home? In my opinion, you do not learn much at the nursing home (look up what other people think ).
8 Look up if university/college has an affiliation with the hospital.
9) Look up what reputation a college has in the community. Would you be able to get a job fresh out of school without an internship? Ideally, you should get a job offer after your last exam in nursing school.

Please follow up in 5 - 10 years and share your story
