Army 66T program

I am an civilian-side ER nurse who just got picked up for 66T (Emergency Room Nurse) in the Army Reserve. I've been working in an ER for about two years, recently picked up my CEN, and have about 7 years experience as a medic in the Army (Reserve and AD). With my qualifications, I don't have to go to the 66T course, but I'm wondering if I should anyway. Has anyone else done this course recently? Would it be beneficial to someone who has a good grasp on medical emergencies, but limited trauma nursing experience, or is it more intro level? Let me know your thoughts!

I came in active duty as an ED nurse (66HM5, now called 66T), and I had my CEN and about 3 years of experience as an ED nurse. My OIC recommended the course anyway, and I probably would have tried to go, but I deployed instead. Lol. In any case, I don't think it's a bad idea to get more education and trauma experience. From what I have heard, the course is fairly difficult and is heavy on critical care and pathophysiology, but that is second-hand knowledge.

Go, as a former Army nurse, it will help you with promotions!
