So I was thinking about joining the reserves since I have my adn. Two questions:

I was honorably discharged from the reserves as enlisted (2001-2009) is that going to hurt my chances.

Also is it going to be difficult to get in period? I graduated last may. I'll have good letters of recommendation and everything

it will not be a difficult period but can be a frustating time. since you are prior enlisted you will be able to deal with it a little easier then someone without any military experience.

Thank you! Any tips that might help? As far as what to put together or what I might be able to do to expedite the process

Just keep in frequent contact with your recruiter will help. Since you were prior service keep a copy of everything since things can get lost. Alot on how fast things move is your recruiter and how fast you get the needed items they ask for back to them.

Talk with recruiter and get a list of the documents that you will need to give to him, schedule a meps physical date with him, get format for letters of rec and then get your references started, start your security paperwork. Start asking what options are available in your area to see what slots may/may not be open so that way you can back plan your timeline..maybe a rush would help? maybe you would have to wait regardless...
