Army OR Nursing- what is it like?

Good evening ladeis and gents!! As I am preparing to enter the Army in October, I have begun to ponder on my nursing career choices. I have an interest in OR and critical care( mainly OR though). Just wanted to see if there were any OR army nurses on the page that could give some insight into day to day operations. For example, how long is the training? Were you able to perform more and be really active in the surgery as compared to the civilian world? Were you able to perform FA(first assist) functions, or did you have to go to get certified first? Just want to get the Good and the bad about your experiences as an Army OR nurse. Any information is greatly appreciated.
