Arkansas State 2019 CRNA

Published

So, I completed my application to Arkansas State's MSN CRNA program beginning in 2019. I was relieved to have everything submitted by the priority deadline. Who else out there is trying for this school? Anyone have any information about the interview process?

@ IanR

Glad to hear you felt so confident. I did too, but overall, would call it cautiously optimistic.

Wondering, did you feel great going in? Like your experience, GRE, GPA... etc. as if you were going to get the job? These strong points gave me a psychological edge. Or, did you feel great because of the answers you gave during the interview? or Both? Either way, Best of Luck!

I felt really good going into it just because I submitted a complete application and my STATS were really strong. But the interview itself went really well, it was laid back and personal. I felt like Dr. Hammond all but high fived me at the end, haha! Looking forward to getting started!

What are your stats?

Thats good.

Regardless of the stats everyone has, I wonder if the decisions for acceptance into the class are based on how the interview went or based off everything collectively such as what you look like on paper, the pre-test, the interview?

The reason I ask this is because if it depends on other factors such as what you have on paper, then it looks like they would be more inclined to already having made a judgement about you before and after the interview. Many of us have had similar and completely different experiences during the interviews.

Specializes in CVICU.

Point well made.

Well there is such a thing as curiosity. IAN mentioned STATS -- so i got curious to know.

But thanks for your input. I am no longer curious...haha

Fairly, I would hope it would be a combination of the two. But I guess we will find out in a few weeks!

"Fairly, I would hope it would be a combination of the two. But I guess we will find out in a few weeks!" I definitely have to agree with DQ88. What good is it if you have a 3.8 GPA but couldn't read their EKG strip? Or have your CCRN but don't know what the ABG is telling you or what to do about it? Hopefully, that is an oxymoron. Yet, there is nothing like seeing the person you're about to let into the program, how agreeable they are, or abrasive.

The end of this month or the first week of September can't come fast enough! I want to find out now!

The wait is just pure torture! Lol.

A couple people have DM'd me but I can't reply because I'm not "active" enough. I promise I'm not ignoring y'all!! :)
