Arizona RN's

Published

I am trying to relocate to AZ but have noticed that there aren't many RN positions open outside of the Banner system. I had been told that more positions open up in the fall due to the fluctuations in staff. I am not in a rush to move, but my husband has already relocated so I would like to be Arizona in the near future. I have been nursing for a little over 2 years and was offered a position starting at $28/hr. I feel as if this is a low number, but really don't have much of a frame of reference. Does this sound competetive? Also, what do staff RN's do during the summer, do they get flexed off a lot to compensate for the lower census? Thanks for your time.

Must be a banner quote....I didn't realize how much banner low-balled people until I left....

The minimum pay that Banner pays an RN is 25.74/hr. That would be new grad

pay. Jobs are hard to come by even for nurses with experience. It could be

months before you get another offer.

I would take the job and then job shop after you get here for something better.

Low census is not only a summer problem, now it's an all year problem. At

Banner, you take turns getting called off. You can use vacation time or go with

no pay.......your choice.
