One last class needed, can it be done?

Hello all

I am ready to apply to the CEP program except for one last class :arghh: I swear, its always something!!

Anyway, I am currently in Paris and planned on taking the course online via Rio Salado. Problem is, it begins Jan 11th and I'd need to get my CEP application in by the 30th of January, if I am not mistaken, to apply for Fall. I now you are probably wondering why I wasn't more prepared? I could've finished this class ages ago. Well circumstances have me going back to AZ earlier than I intended and I thought, Hey! why not give that ol' Maricopa NSG program another shot :angrybird5:

So I contacted the instructor of said Math class to see if I can finish early. That would leave me with 19 days to complete all the course work and hopefully he'd have my grades posted in time. Is this course really as easy as people say? I mean, I feel like if I got through A&PII online, I can get through anything .... otherwise, does anyone have any words of advice? Any online intersession options I can check out that I am not thinking of?

I am stumped.

What is the last day to apply in February? I thought it was January 30th :woot:

I am unsure of actual dates in just guessing. You would have to get dates from an advisor but usually it's the end of Jan or beginning of Feb, then end of May beginning of June. This year I applied June 2.

What co-requs do you need for ASU still after your math?

the math is the last thing I need unless I don't have the Humanities but I think I do...I have an Associates in Social and Behavioral Sciences and I think I needed some humanities credits for that. I've got my HESI done and fingerprint clearance card. I think I'm ready to go after the Math class

Do you have human patho?

Yes! finished that at GCU before leaving AZ :)

Then I believe all you need is your math.

If you haven't already, check out there brochure under the concurrent tab at nursing.maricopa.edu

Yes! Thank you and yes, I did :) yep just that math! Ahhh! So close...

According to my advisor, the last day they take applications is January 28th. You can apply in May and start August 2016 at ASU and then January 2017 in block 1. :)

Also take into account that you have to be on the wait list in order to apply to CEP. Check with an adviser as I could be wrong on this, but you are not technically on the wait list until you have a time stamp. So even if you get the math class done in time, you would still need to apply to the MCCCD nursing program wait list, then get your time stamp, then go to an info session for CEP, then go to an application session to apply to CEP. I just dont see that happening within days of finishing your math clas. But again, I could be wrong, so it would be good to double check with a nursing adviser. GLGL

Thanks guys! I'm going to wait for May :)

Hey guys! I too am attempting to get in my CEP application by end of Jan. I am currently taking pathophysiology and human nutrition at Rio, set to be done by Jan 23rd. I'm not sure when grades would post, but hopefully before I need them! I got my bachelors at NAU, and yet I technically am missing a humanities. I also took ENG 105 at NAU, which covered the English requirements for my degree, and yet now the adviser is telling me I probably need ENG 102. I already have my date time stamp, set at Dec. 8th at 08:01:14. Do you guys think I'll be okay for the cep application if I can have my ENG and humanities in progress by Jan 31st?

Sounds like, from what I understand, that you should be good to go for NAU with those credits in progress

Why don't you just apply to ASU the regular nursing school? You can have classes in progress. I just got accepted to that program and I start next month. When will you move here?
