Dignity Health New Grad Hiring Process

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hey,

I have an interview next week for a new grad position with Dignity Health Chandler-Regional. Even if I don't get the job I am excited to even get a chance to interview.

Anyway, anyone here know how long the hiring process is for Dignity Health new grad cohorts? I already took the math test and answered some interview style questions through email. I now have a panel interview set next week with 3 managers and the new grad trainer/manager I believe. How many round of interviews does Difnity Health home before deciding or is it a one and done?

I'm just curious if I should be waiting to hear about a job or preparing for a possible second interview after the first.

Thanks to to anyone who may have answers.

Wait what do you mean they only do new hires for a few months?

They start a new grad program every few months.

Thank you for your response, AZRNallday!

Do you know when they will hire new grads next time?

Like a residency program? Most hospitals don't only hire when those start though they just have you join the newest one after you are hired? Is Dignity different?

Dignity will hire new graduates and train them on the floor, but they also offer the new grad program like every 3 months to do an actual residency program with extra orientation training. So, you can apply for the new grad program every few months, or try to apply in specific positions online too so maybe you can start and train right away. So yes, different hospitals offer different things.

AZRN is right about how they hire new grads. The residency program has built in simulation training and extra class stuff outside of floor training.

But, for example, if you search new grad on the careers section, it will show positions that are willing to hire new grads at the moment. They usually say "1 year experience preferred" but in the job description, it will clearly say they will consider a new grad. Those positions just won't be part of the residency program, but will still get a new grad orientation to the unit.

Or or at least that's how I u see stand it. I got lucky when I found the residency this time around. I just happened to be searching and saw it open.

Banner also has, unless it's closed already, a new grad residency group hiring going on right now as well. Try checking there too.

Yes! Did you hear anything from them yet? When did they say theyd call?

I didn't think to ask about a timeframe to expect a decision. I am just assuming they are either deciding this week or are still interviewing since I havent gotten an offer call or a thanks but no thanks email yet. My job board shows "manager review" as my status and it has been that way since the day after my interview. I just take that as I'm still being considered. I sure do hope we hear something soon. My friend applied as well and had an interview, but hasn't heard back yet either.

Yeah! It might be this week since February 15 is going to be coming up and theres paperworks to do. Let me know if you hear anything and I will let you know too ! :)

Hey. I just got a call from the new grad program manager. I did not get hired. It's ok though. I don't even have a license yet. After I test next week and get my license I'll start applying again.

I think it's really nice that they call to let you know instead of just an impersonal email.

Good of luck on getting an offer call!!

Hey! Sorry for the late reply! I did get an offer, but I chose to get a different position. How is it going? NCLEX? Take care!

Even though you didn't accept the dignity spot, that's great you got something else! I passed NCLEX and my license posted a few days ago! Now just on the job hunt.
