Hey all, new and old :lol2:

This website has been so useful during the application period when none of us knew if we would get accepted or not. It was even more helpful afterwards when we had tons of paperwork and documentation to submit.

I'm hoping that it can continue to become a useful tool during our years here at Aria :D

Invite anyone whom you know by sending them the link to the page. Hopefully we'll be able to continue supporting each other and give any knowledge we have to others as ;)

I already feel as though we're in school & learning already. However, we still have a few weeks left before we're on that road of headaches and stresses. :heartbeat

PS: here's the link to our previous forum :D

Hey Barb, I totally agree that life's been hectic lately.. December was over in a blink of an eye! I don't see why not. If you want to email me them, i can print them out as ur backup, im printing mine now too ([email protected])

I printed the results that followed right after I took the test... But then when I went to results bar on top and opened the results of test - in addition to the result, there was the amount of time we spent on each module and like a graph of the score.... I don't know which paper they want, but I don't think I want to waste my expensive ink lol so in gonna Ed up giving just the results with not times spent on lesson... Hope this makes sense lol

Just remembered we have to print out the honor code form (acknowledging that we received the student handbook) and bring it tomorrow...

ummm.. student handbook?

and yyks.. i printed the ones given at the end of my tests too. it should be sufficient enough to say that we at least did them. If they want more, we may be able to print them at school?

Happy Saturday Everyone!:specs:

So I've spoken to some of you about this already but haven't had the time to actually make a post yet.

As we're studying for the test, there are some things that may not be clear to us. They may be because of missing something the teacher said, not seeing it in our text, not understanding the bigger picture or specific details in our material.

Regardless, I wanted to make this an open discussion on our forum; to ask/add questions, help others with theirs, review material, or just as a change of setting with all the studying we're doing. ;) [haha, am I making sense?]

I didn't want to post until I found everything I wanted to ask/say.. but for the lack of time and the test day coming soon:bluecry1: and maybe someone else wanted to ask something and I could give what I knew already... I'll just post now :D

-Does anyone have a recorded version of the study unit summary lecture that can be emailed/sent?

-In Health wellness & illness..

What does Kim mean by "Healthy strategies of coping with stress?" and "The unhealthy strategies?"

Does "the different levels of wellness," mean the different levels of prevention? (primary, secondary, tertiary?)

"Vulnerability " : she wants us to know the definitions related to content.. what is the context of the word?

-Can anyone direct me to where the text is for the COMMUNITY slides? i still have no idea where to read it? i've been guided to ATI, chapter 42, etc.. I just can't find it.. anyone... pretty please?

:redpinkheAnyway, yep, I'd really appreciate it if you post! Whether it be answers, recommendations, if you felt the same way about something, or have any questions!!! Feel free to post anything :p I'd love to help with anything I can as well :D

Good Luck Studying Everyone :clown:!!!

PS: anyone else have brain overload?

Hey Celeste,

I'm pretty sure that when it comes to stress the unhealthy strategies include things like drinking to cope with dress where healthy strategies are exercise, meditation, etc... I didn't get further than that yet going through my review. For community I really just remember it being addressed in terms of a families living within communities (or even in the culture segment because they refer to nursing as a subculture) but I am still looking...

I recorded the overview on my iphone if anyone wants it shoot me an email..i haven't tried to send it anywhere yet so i don't know how successful it will be :)

-Kate

Can someone tell me what the standards of care are?

They are on page 17 in Fundamentals

Thanks Kate! How's studying? oh, and I'll be emailing you :D

Hey Bonnie,

Kate's right, it"s on page 17 in that table but here it is anyway :D

The standards of care are "means by which the profession clearly describes the: focus of activities, recipients of sevice and the responsibilities for which its practioners are responsible"

The ANA standards of care are

1. assessment

2. dianosis

3. outcome identification

4. planning

5. implentation

-coordination of care

- health teaching & promotion

-consultation with specialitist

-prescriptive authority and Tx

6. Evaluation

The purpose of theses are to help the nurse provide goal-directed and client-centered care.

Thanks!!!!!! My brain is fried!!!
