Do your coworkers like you and like working with you?

Why? Why not?

Do you care one way or the other?

People either like me or hate me. That has been my experience in life. Im loud, opinionated, and strong in personality. I love my patients and will bust ass for them at all times.

Nursing is like highschool. Well... most jobs are, especially with a bunch of women gaggled together. (that comments gonna get me yelled at!) I'm a woman, but it seems true. I'm 6'3 so I stand out. I flirt consistantly with the Drs and have a really good rapport with most of them. I snap at the bully nurses and stand up for the new guy or the nurse everyone has chosen to fail.

Some jobs I've had I could not survive the hatred or climate of negativity...I'm usually nauseatingly happy! I'm a sagatarius after all.

I cuss way too much and do so freely at work around coworkers (but not patients) when I shouldn't and I know it, its a habit I need to break! I get along SO well with the group I work with now...we are in-sinc. They are Christians (and Republicans) and I am not, but they are true Christians that do not judge my hedanism or peganism too harshly. We laugh, have fun, and to my knowlege, no one has back-stabbed me yet!! Fun is the name of the game!! If you can't have fun at work....why bother. There is a season for everything but fun is good.

I care very much what people think of me although I'm stubborn and not willing to change to conform to others expectations. I am what I am and if you like me great, if you don't your missin out!

Gotta love ya! Hmmm I am a Sagittarius also, I wonder if that is why I do care, though I would rather not and am way too stubborn to change or be intimidated. I can get mad, especially if someone is being mistreated. I go out of my way to be supportive to the new folks. I try not to cuss much and I do like to have fun, but what is fun to me isn't always fun to others. Too often their fun is at the expense of others and I don't play like that. I can't say I am in sinc with the right wingers I work with. I don't talk politics a lot because I gave up on stupidity a long time ago. I mean its like their attitudes are "don't bother me with the facts, I would rather believe Rush!" "I need someone to blame so today illegal immigrants or any immigrant with an accent and dark complexion is it!" I can't stand that mindset so I really don't feel too bad about not being their friend, lol!

idk, i think that i am at certain places, when nurses and other cnas say that they are glad when they know that i will be working, then that makes me feel good. sometimes though i feel a vibe, like "oh she's agency so she NEEDS to do all this work above and beyond, because she is getting paid more" my idea is, WE ALL NEED TO WORK TOGETHER! doesnt matter pay rate, pay rate shouldnt mean that i have to work extra harder then the other regular cna, that's BS! anyway i went off topic, ummmm, yeah i can be pretty popular when i want to be, and then i can be a *****. it depends on who i work with, and since i work with an agency i meet alot of people.

I have never cared whether I was popular or not, dating all the way back to grade school. I am usually the "class clown", always making jokes to lighten the mood. That makes me pretty popular...but, it also annoys others. I really don't care either way. I am there to do my job, deal with my patients needs and if I make a friend or two along the way, so be it. At every place i have ever worked, I have stayed in touch with at least one or two people from that job. We talk by phone or facebook now and then.

It's nice to be liked...but it really won't effect my day one way or the other if someone doesn't like me. I could really care less.
