Are there any West Ga 2010-Newnan campus students here?

Published

hi! i'm new to this site.. i recently got accepted to west georgia's nursing program at the newnan campus. if you got accepted also, just wanted to say...hi!!! can't wait to meet you all :)

thank you ms sgr! it is very confusing. i was thinking like you that we had to make two separate payments. but after calling the department, i was told to just make the semester payment, which i did. however, i cannot locate the module under my elearning and the ati representative said i needed a specific code to access it. i am going to have to call them back tomorrow and see what’s going on because this is ridiculous.

okay! so, i was told by the nursing dept that the codes were not yet available for the modules for the newnan campus students, only the carrollton students. but when they receive them they will be sent to us via email on our west ga emails!

Hello fellow students, are you speaking of the LPN or RN program? I'm an LPN starting out there to get into the RN program. Please tell me how the application and interview process went for you. Thanks.:nurse:

First of all ...CONGRATS to everyone in the program! I wish you all the best! I live here in Newnan and I graduated the Nursing program from West Georgia in 1990! Good luck to everyone!

luv2quilt, we did not have an interview process. admission was really based on gpa, teas test, extra volunteer work, already being in the healthcare field etc... it was basically just competition...wareagle31, thank you so much for the words of inspiration. i am in my second week and i love it so much! hopefully with work and dedication, i can be to where you are at!:)

Hey guys, I'm from Newnan and trying to get into UWG's Nursing Program (either Newnan or Carrollton). What TEAS scores and GPA did you guys have?

Hi Maggie108, I scored an 82 on the TEAS 4 and I believe my GPA was a 3.3. They are using version 5 now which I found to be more difficult. I wish you luck!

Hi!

I'm currently attending KSU but I'm planning to apply to West GA's program for Summer of 2011. I have a 3.73 gpa right now and I'm taking the TEAS at the end of this month. What are my chances of getting in with this gpa and what is the average TEAS score for accepted students?

Thanks for any information!

hello!

How is nursing school going now that it's been a year for you all?

I am waiting to hear if I have been accepted for Summer 2011. When did you receive your acceptance letters?

I have an 88.7 TEAS score and a 3.4 BSN GPA. Already hold a Bachelors degree in another area and applied for Newnan campus.

What has your experience been so far?

Hi BellaBlue22,

I'm in the full time program, so it has been a rollercoaster ride. I belive that I received my acceptance letter in April and it has been non-stop since then. I had about 3 weeks to prepare for the med calc test. The teachers at the newnan campus are more laxed. Your grades and score are good so hopefully you will get in
