I live in Arizona, but my grandma lives in Illinois and I was wondering if the nursing schools there have waiting lists like we do here. It's up to 3 semesters just waiting to get in. Thanks in advanced!

The schools I looked into did not have a waitlist. Once you apply (after you meet their app requirements) you are either accepted or put on an alternate list. If you do not get in off the alternate list for the semester you applied for you have to start the application process over.
Since all schools are different maybe you can narrow down where you'd be able to go if you were living with/near grandma and contact them.
Good luck!

I know NIU has a waiting list, but if you do not get in you have to reapply from the beginning which I believe is the case for all schools here.
Good luck with your applications!
