Are you thinking nursing school?

I tumbled onto this site a couple years ago, pondering if I could get into a nursing program and then if I could handle it.

As a 46 yr old widow with grown children, I couldn't think of a better way to start my new life than by helping other people.

I read post after post on this site, sometimes discouraged trying to glean any pearls of wisdom about getting into school. Overall I found strength and determination from others fighting similar battles.

2 phone calls later I found myself at an interview and starting to collect "stuff" that would get me back into school. I started 6 weeks later taking some pre-reqs.

I was on a whirlwind of activity thru that summer and then the entire year after. I will graduate in May. I still have trouble believing it happened.

I hope this posting reaches out to at least one other person and gives them the encouragement to fill out an application or make a phone call.
