Are my Teas scores good enough?

Published

Hello everyone! I received my Teas scores today and they honestly do not look good to me at all. Frankly, I am quite sad with my results :sorry:

Are these scores....terrible? Do I even stand a chance? Oh lord..:drowning:

Adjusted Individual Total Score: 72.0%

Mean - National: 64.3%

Mean - Program: 64.9%

Percentile Rank - National: 71

Percentile Rank - Program: 71

My GPA is a 3.66 and I have a B+ in chem and Bio, and a B in Anatomy I.

Also, what exactly does Percentile Rank - National/Program mean? I checked the paper but it didn't really clear things up for me..

I guess I am a worrywart..I feel sick to my stomach. I was not expecting a 72. :scrying::barf02:

What were your scores, if you don't mind sharing? Did you get accepted into your program of choice? I need to hear some positive stories:lurking:

Specializes in NICU.

Mean- National is the average score for all test takers nationally

Mean-program is the average score for all test takers in your program (Not sure if this means your school or BSN/ADN nationally)

Percentile Rank- National means you scored better than 71% of the test takers

Percentile Rank- Program means you scored better than 71% of test takers in your program.

Here is a thread to compare to other member's score on TEAS https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/enter-your-teas-677004.html

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

What is required for your school? What's competitive there?

Will they allow repeated attempts?

Competitive TEAS scores really seem to vary widely by demographic. A 72 can be very good in some states, whereas here in CA, it wouldn't be. Our program requires a minimum 75. Find out what you need where you're applying.

Thanks for the replies :)

Turns out my scores were good enough and I was accepted into the program! Now I just need to get all these immunizations/vaccines out of the way before the deadline :D
