I am just wondering if anyone is working as a CNA part time and going to school full-time? Especially if there is anyone in Nursing School and doing this. I would really like to get in the hospital and I am a CNA but I am afraid it will affect my studies. And if anyone is doing this, what kind of hours does a part-time CNA incur? TIA!

When do you find time to study? Are you ever super tired that you can't study?

oh yeah it can be done. however you must be willing to be tired and lose a lot of sleep. right now i am in a nursing program, work full time and take care of my two toddlers. i will not lie....it is super hard, but in the end it will all be worth it!! (maybe then i can catch up on sleep!!!)
good luck:lol2:

coco are you in the nursing program full-time? ack, i have 2 young children (and a dog) as well! i'm used to no sleep, but it's the study time i'm concerned about! but you are right, it will be worth it in the end!
well see.. since i do private duty in the pts home, i only have one person to care for and sice it is at night he is sleeping , so i study then and have plenty of time to do it! i also only work 3 days a week since i pull 12 hour shifts! its not always fun but it works best for me and the pay is good lol!!!!!

I worked at one of our local hospitals part time (either Friday or Saturday and then Sundays) while going to school full time (Mon-Thurs). I found that I had plenty of time to study after class and then on my day off, house work was put to the side but my fiance' helped out a lot with that. It can be done if you get priorities where you want them. Ask for the help of family or friends if possible. Good luck.

PS since I worked for a year during school once I graduated I was able to transfer to an LPN job fairly easily.
