Hello....does anyone out there know what the validity of an ICS or Open University (for example) degree is? I am a diploma educated RGN in the UK planning on doing an online top-up degree and although ICS assure me that their degrees are accredited but I have heard a few horror stories. Don't want to put myself through all that if the degree is not even valid in the USA. Also, has anyone out there completed their degree whilst working full time and how long did it take? Is it possible to do it in 1 year if you are dedicated and can manage quite well with academic writing etc? Thankyou.....!
BTW as soon as I posted that I realised I've mis-spelt the word DEGREE aaaargh how embarassing...!!!

The issue is getting clinical training done at the same time as your theory to see if it is accepted. Most have to be a accredited establishment and for some it isn't until your training and transcripts are assessed that the determination is made whether to accept or not.
Corrected spelling :)

As the OP is all ready an RN i doubt it's going to be as much of problem as the 'online' programs in the states that claim to be able to educate LPNs and Paramedics to be RNs with minimal actual practice placement time are the problem courses
