Hi everyone,
I graduated with an ADN in December, taking the NCLEX this month. I've been really stressed out about how there are literally no jobs for new grads, and been considering joining the Army Nurse Corps. I would be Army Reserve since I only have an associates degree.
My questions here mainly goes out to nurses who have joined the Army Nurse Corps and their experiences with it. Any advice? How does employment as a nurse work in the army?
Thanks for any help!

panam had a good summary.. Army reserve you can meet entry requirements and be promoted up until cpt with ADN.. that being said finding an active duty slot within the reserves is another search in itself. As panam said with the number of experienced applicants having a BSN (due to high amount of applicants + high current retention of nurses) that there are less jobs out there.. you will need to find what reserve units are in your area... that having nursing slots and to go from there.. as it varies geographically based on how far you want to drive and where your 'home' is.
