Are there any floors like mine, acute care, with no lifting equipment?

In my state facilities are required to provide lift-equipment. I cannot imagine working somewhere without a lift. Heck, even in home care I always had a lift available! Well, I guess that's a lie. I didn't have one handy for the infant. :D

I would bring this up with my union or state nurses' association pronto.

Slide boards, lift sheets, and the occasional hoyer lift is all I've ever seen. That and human power.
