I am thinkning about going through EC for my RN degree. Has anyone from Mississippi gone through EC? Was it hard to get endorsed through MS?
This material is awesome, too. Also, follow your content guides!!!
Study material for the EC exams can be found on ebay: StudyGroup101 and Lisa Arends. You can also find study material in the files sections of the various EC groups on yahoo and on www.flashcardexchange.com.
Don't for get to check out this forum https://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/ There is an awesome group of Excelsior graduates here to help you along the way. Me being one of them!! Good luck!
I am inquiring about more study materials for the LPN to RN Transition for College Network Program. The modules material are not indepth enough to prepare for the EC Exams. Please if you have any any information that can assist me in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance.
Hi Love2Serve,
Just wondering where you are with your Excelsior studies. I am also in Mississippi going through Excelsior.

How many test have you completed through excelsior?
As of today...7 (all of them). Just got my updated reported that I "passed the FCCA." My last hurdle is the hardest one, the CPNE---scared to death; but I haven't come this far to freak out. I studied like a mad woman to finish quickly. Now I just have to figure out how in the world I'll pay for the thing (lol). I did get a scholarship from Excelsior though. That will help a lot.
what are the cost for excelsior?
It depends on how you pay...I was in the "packaged priced" option. So, my total cost including the CPNE and all the practice exams, and the FCCA, and graduation fee is 3,450. Then after I subtract scholarships it won't even be that much. Well, I'll have to figure it up later; because I forgot I'll have to probably pay for plane tickets/hotel for the CPNE.

I used pre-owned college network and chancellor's I bought on E-bay. Between the two I was able to pass all my exams. I was in the old program. There are several Yahoo groups that have great notes...FREE.
Flashcard exchange is great, too.
Good luck. What area do you live in?
