Are these diagnosis prioritized correctly?

Hi there!! I need help...I have this care plan that I am about finished with; however, I am always stumped on prioritizing the diagnosis. I did the ABC's and then Maslow's.

Are they in the right order?

1. Ineffective airway clearance

2. Decreased cardiac output

3. Imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements

4. Diarrhea

5. Acute pain

6. Activity intolerance

Thanks :wink2:

Think of your ABC's. Airway, Breathing, Circulation and MASLOW'S pyramid.

Ineffective airway clearance

Decreased Cardiac Output

Diarrhea

Acute Pain

Imbalanced Nutrition

Activity Intolerance

I'm debating between acute pain and imbalanced nutrition. I keep flipping these 2 in my head. Hope that helps!

Activity Tolerance is a combined respiratory and circulation need and needs to be sequenced somehwere near the top.

I would put acute pain first before nutrition, only because a client in pain is NOT going to progress fluidly. Once the client is calm and comfortable (pain-free to our best ability) we can begin teaching the importance of nutrition R/T healing and ensuring compliance. I agree with your other arrangements, too. :D
