Hi there!! I need help...I have this care plan that I am about finished with; however, I am always stumped on prioritizing the diagnosis. I did the ABC's and then Maslow's.
Are they in the right order?
1. Ineffective airway clearance
2. Decreased cardiac output
3. Imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements
4. Diarrhea
5. Acute pain
6. Activity intolerance
Thanks :wink2:

Think of your ABC's. Airway, Breathing, Circulation and MASLOW'S pyramid.
Ineffective airway clearance

Diarrhea
Acute Pain
Imbalanced Nutrition
Activity Intolerance
I'm debating between acute pain and imbalanced nutrition. I keep flipping these 2 in my head. Hope that helps!

Activity Tolerance is a combined respiratory and circulation need and needs to be sequenced somehwere near the top.

I would put acute pain first before nutrition, only because a client in pain is NOT going to progress fluidly. Once the client is calm and comfortable (pain-free to our best ability) we can begin teaching the importance of nutrition R/T healing and ensuring compliance. I agree with your other arrangements, too.
