Are you counting the days? (1st semester students)

Published

Oh this is absolutely positively one of the most exciting times of my life. I can't believe I am really going to do this. In 3 1/2 weeks or 26 days I start my first semester of nursing school. It is all I can think about. I am scared and nervous and excited. My hubby and the kids and I are going on vacation on Friday for a week so that should help pass some of the time away. I can't wait! So are you counting the days? And what are you doing to pass the time away?

I found A & P 1 to be hard because it was more memorization that figuring out the why's of things. I mean I tried to understand things when I should have concentrated on memorizing the information in A & P 1. I found A & P 2 to be easier because it was more how things worked and what they did. I don't know if that makes a whole lot of sense or is any help. Microbiology is awesome! Also, if you get the Health Channel, check out their show on Wednesday evenings. I think it's called "Diagnosis Unknown" and is all based on real life cases and microbiology. It is awesome!

Best of luck in classes.

Starting Accelerated BSN prog Sept 22 & done with A & P II next week. This means I get a month off before school starts. Am using the time time at the Jersey shore (Avalon, for those Philly ppl who want to know) & run a lot.

Decided to run a half marathon on Sept. 21. Never ran a race longer than 5 miles. I figured if I can survive running hard for 2 hours straight, then I can handle nursing school...

I hope...

I pray...
