Are my chances good to get into the Penn Valley LPN program with this gpa?

Published

I just applied for the Spring '14 LPN program @ Penn Valley in Kansas City, Missouri. They base admission off prerequisite gpa, letter of reference, and interview. My pre-req GPA is 3.45 and my Chem professor wrote my a letter of reference. Any past Penn Valley students know if this is competitive enough?

For those that got into different LPN programs what was your gpa?

I'm so nervous!!!!

You have a strong chance to get in based off of your GPA. Mine was a little lower than that and I was accepted and will graduate in December! Yeaaa! Do you have a CNA certificate? I know that helps. Just take a deep breath.. your chances are high. :) One thing though.. in case you do get in the program is very disorganized.. great teachers.. but the program itself has been a headache. Totally worth it though to make it to occupational goals :)

Yes I do have my cna. Did you go to penn valley? There wasn't anywhere on the application to put that I have my cna. Is that just something I would tell them if I get an interview?

I am currently in the LPN program and graduate this December. There was a form when I was applying were we could put healthcare work experience AKA the CNA. We also did not have to go through the interview process. There is a new director of nursing who has been there a little over a year so she is changing some of the process apparently. Best of luck to you!!

I know that this is an old post but I have a question regarding acceptance letters. I received a letter in the mail that said I was a candidate.....does that mean I have been accepted?
