I've read a number of comments by people who use various cardiology style stethoscopes that they are quite heavy. I'm wondering, for those of you who do use Cardiology steths, do your neck and/or shoulders hurt after carrying it around for several hours?

Yes they do, I bought a steth clip to put in on my waist and it keeps popping out....I need bigger pockets. I have littman master cardiology with the heavy metal head and the tubing is thicker

Cardiology scopes are heavier than your traditional single lumen scopes. Similar in weight to spragues. As far as your neck hurting, it all depends. Mine doesn't, but I assume its because I am busy on the floor. When i am jsut sitting around on a less busy unit, then I def feel the weight of the scope. most of the nurses I work with that use cardiology scopes tend to leave them sit at the desk when not in use.
