In these tough economic times, are you, with your nurse salary, able to put away money for retirement? (401k/403B, IRAs, etc.)

I just started an RRSP last year, I'm 20. I only put the minimum amount in ($50/month in ontario) but its a start!

Yes- as soon as DH or I have qualified at whatever job we've been at we've started contributing to the 401k (or whatever retirement plan it is). The younger you start the better, and it comes right out of the paychecks so we never see the money and never miss it. I'm in school right now so not contributing to mine but DH is still contributing to his at work. Now is an especially good time to contribute- stocks are on sale
